That may be a requirement in your state, but it's never been a requirement in mine and certainly isn't federal.

I was gonna say, when I got my card all they did was have me sign it, I can't even remember if they asked for ID. But no pic or fingerprints for sure.

Another person complained s/he didn't get asked about a credit sign-up. Who wants to be asked that?? Usually they complain about it.

Either a corporate plant, or they assumed the cashier assumed they were poor.

Didn't even sign mine. I got it in the mail. I never even talk to a person; everything's done online or by mail.
