The last customer to do their Required Minimum Distribution from their IRA came in this afternoon. [The details aren't really important, except that RMDs have to be done by the last business day of the year.] He says, "this is the latest I've ever come in." Um, no. I reminded him that one year, he came in the afternoon of the very last day of the year. It actually didn't get processed before end of day, and there was difficulty getting the reporting done correctly when we sent it to the IRS. Which, of course, he blamed on us.
Luckily, he wasn't such a sucky customer this year. He was the last customer to do their RMD, but he didn't wait until the very last day.
