Then I realized what you meant, and you have a point. However, my kiddos could count before they could identify numbers. (My two year old can count, and name the number 4. lol)
Hmm. Maybe it was because I could, and I had never considered myself smarter then the averge, and assummed everyone else could at 3-4ish years old.
Maybe I could count and whatnot that young.
I don't remember. However, I do remember being able to read for nearly as long as I can remember.

Hell when I was like 4-5, in the toy section, I'd joke with my mom that I'd pay for everything to the right of the decimal point if she covered the left. I knew very well how much money I had and how much I could afford.
