  • Not sucky so much as ... wilfully deaf?

So my store recently had one of those promotions whereby you could get [Items[ after collecting enough stamps. These things are always a TIME-SENSITIVE, meaning they will not last forever.
We were nearing the end of the promotion and I was warning customers who were collecting the stamps of this.

Customer: "Oh, that's okay; I'll get [items] when they go on sale."

Me: "Sir, they won't go on sale; they'll just be GONE."

Customer: *laughs and waves his hand dismissively before walking away*

If Idiot Boy comes back, looking for [items], I almost hope I'm the one whose line he goes through.

"While supplies last" is always a wonderful clause so long as you can back it up, yeah.
      Cheap, fast, good. Pick two.

Oh I used to love those promos when I worked at the store. I'd always buy the pieces I wanted AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE, because inevitably, we'd run out of the most popular pieces very quickly, and then people would get into FISTFIGHTS to get their hands on them.
