I have fans, air conditioners, couches, love seats and end tables that I have found in our apartments when the college kids move out. They either put perfectly good furniture in the dumpster, or else just leave it in the apartment. Either way, we end up with tons of stuff to pass along to family!

sure you can have the rotten tomatoes . . .but we need your lawyer to meet with our lawyer and you to sign documents that will prevent you from suing us or attempting to return the produce or giving us bad publicity.

I understand that people have to be on really tight budgets sometimes. And, that there are people who have to find the bigger better deal. I have to wonder if it isn't some sort of brain chemical challange that should be researched when it gets to this level.

2) In our meat department, when meat is about to expire they put coupons on them and she'll take them off and stick them on whatever meat she's buying.

I don't understand why customers that do this type of thing aren't banned. That's stealing, there is no difference between that and someone printing their own bar codes to place over the real bar codes on electronics products.

Either way it's fraud.

I've gone dumpster-diving for food, and eaten expired (though not rotten) food, lived to tell about it, and proud of it. I don't use the stuff that is obviously no good. It is a shame the way food is wasted in this "western" culture.

Not that I go dumpster diving or anything...

I know a few people that go dumpster diving at certain stores. It's amazing what they end up with. Usually a lot of loaves of bread that while it's expired, is still fine to eat even if it's a little dry.

The nastiness of eating rotten food aside, I find myself AGAIN having to ask:

Why is she not banned from shopping there?? Does she not, in the long run, cost the store money by stealing and having to have people watch her all the time??
