It's a nice theory that isn't quite true. You may eat enough to stay alive, but that's about it. The first month I was in South America, I lost 30 lbs, until I found a few places that served stuff I could stomach. I also had a daughter that at 4 1/2 months decided that she didn't like breast milk. At six months she weighed three ounces more than she did at birth, and had more wrinkles than a shar-pei, before we could finally switch over to formula.
