Well Well!!!!! Apparently it 's become okay for people to talk and play on their phones in a movie theater while the movies playing.
I had a lady come out and complain to me about kids who were more interested in playing on their phones rather than watch the movie. Once I saw who the kids were I knew who they were. REPEAT OFFENDERS! Basically kids with nothing better to do than come to the movies not so much to see the movie , but to just hang out.
I see the kids playing around on their phones, not watching the movie and yell at them to put the phones up or leave. They did what I told them and there were no further problems.
Well this is where the nosey customer sticks there nose in.
At the end of the movie, he complains to my co manager refering to me by color and bitches at me because I should have asked them to step outside to talk on their phones or asked them nicely?
When I try to explain that #1 they had been wondering around into each theater in the building.
#2 two people had come out and complained.
#3 These were kids that come here every weekend and do the same thing over and over and we receive the same complaint, this guy says that it did not matter. I have no right to yell at them and call them out.
Well first according to the parents who dropped them off they were not suppose to be in the movie that I found them in and they were told to not have there phones on in the movie. But oh no!!!!! This guy tells me that he has 400 employees and if any of his managers talked to employees? like that they would have to be dealt with. What?
Basically he says that people like me get power hungry when we get promoted even though I applied for and got the job because of prior management experience else where. The bottom line is he said that if I talked to his kids that way he would take me out side and deal with it!
How about, raising your kids to act like young men and women if they won't have any adult supervision!
How about respecting the fact that you need to know the whole situation before you pass judgement.
Or even better, don't think that because you are the customer, that you are my master and that I must follow you like a sheep. I'm an educated man who works hard and respects his job.
Too bad the customer treats people in the customer service sector like ass. Maybe if they showed some appreciation they might get treated a little better.
