Yesterday, at the service desk, I rang up a newspaper for a customer. She told me that she didn't appreciate me letting a customer with a bunch of soda go ahead of her. I informed her that I didn't do it and I wasn't out front at the time. That was true since I had been in the cash room doing a banking when she got into line at the regular registers.
She also wasn't happy about there not being an express line. I informed her that we don't have express this late at night. The store was due to be closed in less than 2 hours. We also had 2 checkers which isn't enough to have an express line.
The customer also wasn't happy that we didn't have self checkouts even thought we don't have a spot for them. She kept ranting on the way out.
