  • i got a complaint today

    customer came in and told my coworker I was rude, even remembered my name.

    how was i rude you ask?

    she came to the side of my counter by passing the HUGE line, insisting i help her right then and I told her, "just as soon as I finish up with these customers."

    That was rude, I should have stopped and helped her because she obviously was more important.

    this is what my coworker told me she said. not me describing what happened.

    I would have added she shoved someone who was waiting out of the way and there were 6-12 people in line(because people bring a crowd to look at their pictures there was no way to tell who was waiting for film and who was just along for the ride), one girl needing help at the kiosk and a nice young man quietly waiting till i stopped being busy for a camera (his mom taught him the words please and thank you and how to ask nicely for things and you get help - he even got the super secret discount + 50 free prints for his efforts)

    In addition all 4 kiosks she would have had to use to make her print copies had customers using them. ( I should have kicked them off there so miss important could use them?)

    And I had 12 rolls of film that needed processing for the one hour service and I was the only person working because my coworker did not show up.

    yup

    She complained that you were rude because you didn't shove off the other customers you were helping to make way for Her Royal Suckiness? What an ass.

      I have never got a formal complaint when a SC demanded that I set everything aside, including other customers for them. The worst I had was a SC who lectured me when her turn finally came about "proper" custoemr service. after her lecture she wandered off to find someone else to help her, only be redirected to me.

          Congratulations, Aislin! Well done!!

          It's good to have a customer be willing to go to your management to acknowledge the effort you put in at your job

            People love complaining about "rude" CSR. Since the SC can't acomplish anything else, at least they can make another human being's job more difficult and unrewarding.
