So, we have this one customer, lets just say he’s one of our “frequent flyers” not so much as in he buys stuff, but he buys stuff, then a week later brings it back, it’s always “faulty” (as in problem caused by him or none-existent) and he always makes stupid demands and starts shouting at every member of the tech team. It’s got to a point that it was so bad our General manager actually said “I’m not having you talk to my team like that again. Go away and don’t come back until you have made an attitude adjustment” at which point he picked up his things and left.
He’s done some stupid things recently, one of them being coming in to store, having NOT reserved a game he wanted on our reservation service, and demanded that since we didn’t have the game in, he wanted about £200 worth of stock for £70. Needless to say he didn’t get what he wanted.
He has also taken to calling the ex-directory phone numbers and asking stupid questions, usually about Lexmark printers. That we can screen though. Our phones are reasonably “Intelligent” if you get a call from branch call handling (the call centre) they come up “Incoming. Branch Call Handling” if it’s an internal call it will say “Internal [Extention number and name]” or if it’s an ex directory one it says “Incoming. Ex directory” so now we only answer the ex-directory calls on the managers lines, and they don’t put anyone through to Tech without screening it to make sure it’s not this guy.
So, he and his son come in today with a computer they bought from another store and, surprise surprise, it’s got a problem. It’s £800 worth of gaming computer and it’s running slowly. The “Looks like porn to me” diagnosis is going through my mind but what the heck, being the kind person I am, I put it on the diagnostic desk anyway. Guess what? Nothing wrong with the computer. It was operating well within acceptable parameters. Those acceptable parameters basically being “It works, it doesn’t take 6 months to start up and we don’t get any pop ups we shouldn’t while using it” which is not an EXACT definition of the parameters but it’s a basic guide...very basic
So I call the son into the tech centre to show me where it’s running slowly as I have the latest version of 3DMark running on there and it’s keeping up just fine
Me: I’ve got it running 3DMark here. It’s not running slowly. It’s staying at 150 FPS
Son: Are you fucking BLIND?! Look at it!
Me: You swear at me one more time I’ll disconnect the computer you can take it back, you won’t be served
Son: You what?!
Me: You heard
Son: *Shoves me*
Me: Okay, that does it *unplugs the machine* you will take your computer and leave
Just at that very second I see him about to punch me. I duck out of the way, come back up, grab his arm, swing him around and slam him against the door
Me: *Through gritted teeth* Don’t you EVER throw a punch at me again
By now, security have seen whats going on and have come running over, the silent alarm has been pushed by another member of staff
Ofcourse the guy was arrested and detained by the police. They are trying to get him for assault but considering I rushed him and slammed him into the door, they are a little unsure as to which way it will swing.

I anxiously await the response to this too, but knowing AF and the managers there, I'd say the Darwin canditates are probably banned.
