Thanks for the kind words everybody!

My LP officer is doing ok. He is bruised up pretty bad and his arm is broken, but he will be fine.

I gave a statement to the police. It was four hours after the robbery because my boss "didn't see a reason why to slow down business." I really hope what I said was right because there was such a big gap.

It was awful to get back to work, and I had to open the next morning as well. I kept picturing the people coming through as theives. I saw a man with a cell phone and thought GUN. I feel like I'm kinda losing it.

My SUP was awesome to me though. She told me that I would have had every right to throw that SC out of the store. Too bad I was too shaken up to do it and he was long gone before I got permission.

And one more here for updates on your coworker. How's he doing?

Also, let me second the advice about not holding the emotions in. If you feel like you need to break down and go on a crying jag DO IT. If you feel like screaming and smashing things, go find something you can safely smash and DO IT.

Those urges are telling you what you need to do to feel better (except the self-destructive ones, but that's another story), and listening to them will help you deal with the trauma much better and faster than trying to contain it.

ohh if that ass had done that to me there would have been a second beating, me doing it to him with his soda bottle, then I would have drank the soda out of spite (if it was something I happen to like, otherwise I would have dumped it on his head)

hope your co worker is ok and gets well soon

That's awful... I really hope your coworker recovers quickly! As for people who can't wait ten seconds to be helped... well, even if you hadn't just had such an awful experience, there's not an excuse for that level of impatience. A true SC

That's just awful, now that's the worst type of SC. It's a good thing your co-worker is doing better.

It may be a few days before they catch the perp. When I was robbed, they caught the guy the very next week.

                *gives more hugs*
