For example, we purchase raw wood veneer, slice it into square strips, glue the strips into sheets, then it dries for 48 hours. Then it is pressed and glued onto a sheet of MDF, then 3 days to dry and cure. Then machined to the rough shape (within 1/8"), then 2 days for the edges to dry. Then finish machined to the final core shape, then another day to dry. Then the edges are sanded and the hardwood edge bands are glued onto the edges. They spend 1 day under pressure drying, then 5 days out of pressure drying. Then the edge bands are milled flush to the tops, and another day to dry. Then the tops are rough sanded, and another day to dry. Then they are fine sanded, then clear filled (pore filler), then two days to dry.

All of that is BEFORE it gets into the finish area.
Ah, now I see. So you were being literal.

    Purty kool.

you know... if his job was *that* important... i think it would have benefitted him to set up his email to buzz his cell phone whenever mail from your company came in. not sure if most business emails will let you do that (without a hookup from the admin) ... but if it's THAT important, i'd say let him supply a gmail account too

i use to ahve mine set up to send me a txt message whenever a specific friend emailed me
Or if he even checked his email once a day x.x it sounded like he took 4-6 days to respond to Bob. Wow....

God, I used to hate that when I worked for the tool and die place. People would fax over the shittiest print and we'd call and email that we couldn't read the dimensions. They'd call back 3-4 days later and still expect the lead time to be from the date they faxed the shitty print.

D: Ok. I understand. Well, my phone number is (#). If you need anything please call me. C has been let go this morning.
That last bit struck me as being unprofessional. Is it just me? If someone had been sacked at my place, I'd have simply said something like "I've taken over this project from C."

            Just me?

I'd understand "C is no longer working here" so that the person calling knows not to email them etc. but to tell someone outside of the company that someone is fired is unprofessional. It might even fall into a legal grey area - devulging an ex-employee's status even if you don't add "he was fired because he is a dumbass" seems like an potentially libelous thing to do.

I can understand that was kind of unprofessional of the boss to tell BTG that. On the other hand, it is also possible that the boss was basically saying 'I won't put up with that kind of idiocy and you won't have to deal with it from us again."
Because as we all know, on the Internet all men are men, all women are men and all children are FBI agents.

That is basically what I got when reading between the lines.
