Ok so this week I really only had one SC... and even then he wasn't that sucky (great week really)
Ok, so the guest has 2 rooms... the second room he though would be checking out 2 days earlier than the other, so when he told us he might check out of that room we ran his card for the nights he had already stayed (with his permission, he wasn't sucky about that)... the problem came 2 days later when he checked out of both rooms and saw 2 charges to his card on the second room.
SC- this isn't right, you billed me twice for the second room.
me- let me look at that (brings up that rooms information on the computer and also looks at the folio that had been printed out for him)... Ok, so I'm seeing both rooms had the same total... your first room the entire amount was paid just now, the other one looks like the first 7 days that was done 2 days ago then one for the final 2 nights that I just did.
SC- no I paid for the whole thing 2 days ago.
me- yes sir, you had paid for the whole stay up to that point, but it's noted that it was charged because you thought you might check out early.
SC- yeah, and the girl said everything had been paid for.
me- yes, everything that you owed at that point... we don't charge for anything extra when you check out early so that payment was for the first 7 nights, then you stayed 2 more nights which is what this second charge is for.
SC- well my other room only has one charge, so why I don't understand this.
round and round we go... showing him that the first charge on the room that he thought might check out early was for less than the other rooms total and that when you added the second charge on that room it came out to be exactly the same as the other room... the totals were right... yada yada yada... nothing would sink in... gah, he was annoying and stupid beyond belief.
so glad he is the only sucky person I had last week.
