some of our owners do their own bookings from time to time and I had one such owner just now.

Owner: yea Dave, I have a booking to call in for my unit

Me: ok the dates

She gives me the guest's name and then I ask for the adress and phone number

Owner: I dont know, dont you know by now you're supposed to email the guest and get it. I dont get that information, thats your job. Why are you aking me to do your work? I told you people, I get a name and an email adress.....that's all you're gonna get. You need to contact the guest. Why do you ask me for this information?

Me: Because some owners give us that information

Owner: well I am not some owners.....everything is done by email, I m sick of this. Dont ever ask me for the information again. I told you what information you'll get and you'll get that and nothing else

Me: Ok

Owner: no it's not ok.......I so tired of explaining this

Me: I'm very sorry

Guest: well you need to think before you open your mouth......next person that asks me for that information again, I will flip out on them like they've never seen before and I am not even close to kidding

Does your voice naturally sound snarky? Perhaps a level of sarcasm you can't contain? Or perhaps a low monotone voice that customers read as apathy?

Because I'm for the life of me trying to figure out how so many horrid people end up at your rentals. I mean, we're talking expensive ones where general pond scum can't afford to hang out. You certainly drew the short straw with your "special" clientel.

I told you all about the owner whose husband was a pastor and then I remembered Victoria Osteen and her suckiness. No, this is not the Osteen's but my lasy is just as sucky

Maybe it wouldn't be so aggravating to her if she didn't make such a big deal out of it. A simple, "No, you'll have to email them to follow up" isn't so difficult, now is it? Why people have to take things so personally and blow them all out of proportion I'll never know.

If I was an owner, I would want all the information. How hard is asking for address, phone, etc, esp. since the owner is the one who made the arrangements. Was the owner afraid that the customer would go SC on her?
