Contacts rock. I had to make the switch when I was dancing and they wouldn't let me wear my glasses on stage. I'm pretty blind and didn't want to fall off the stage or knock down the scenery. I do keep a pair of glasses, though. I like them well enough except for the fact I see better with the contacts.

Contacts are not my thing; vision correction isn't good enough with them, and I apparently have sensitive eyes -- hard to put 'em in.
That said, I get impatient with myself if I take more than 15 minutes to pick frames -- nobody else needs to get impatient with me. And I AM picky about my frames, but DAMN....

I can't imagine glasses without nosepads.
And I can't imagine wearing contacts either. I can't do drops, no way I could do contacts. I've had optometrists literally give up on putting drops in my eyes before (although I've also had them restrain me and do it. Grrr.). Last time, I told the doctor, "no drops." And it was so. No drops.Supporting the idiots charged with protecting your personal information.

I have my opticians trained. They find me the frames with the largest lenses they can with 3 stipulations: 1--must have nose pads, 2--need to be "aviator" style, and 3--cable temples, which they can do at the shop. I don't even care what color frames I wind up with. I think this last set of frames was shipped from California (to Texas).
I'm too old to care what other people think. As long as I can SEE, I'm happy!Last edited by Primer; 08-19-2008, 02:17 AM.Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.
