Had a WTF? call from a man telling me that 3 years ago he saw a sign on the road outside my shop selling blah blah.

I advised him that it would have been a sign for one of the other busiesses in our complex and that what he was after was the polar opposite of the types of products we sell.

He then proceeds to rant at me about how he saw the sign 3 years ago and am I sure I don't have any blah blah. Of course I'm bloody sure!

3 years! Who remebers a blackboard road sign for 3 years

I just LOVE SC's who tell ME that what I know is wrong....

SC: "I bought XXXX bike here last year! How come you don't still have it?"
Me: "We nevr have sold XXXX bike...that's a Target bike, their house brand."
SC: "No, it isn't! I bought it here a year ago!"

(Now, at the time, our store hadn't even been open six months)

Me: "Not possible, ma'am -- we wern't even here a year ago!"
SC: "Yes you were, cuz I bought it here!"
Me: (deep breath)"Ma'am...we have never sold that car, and we never will. I can't help you."
SC: (grumbling as she turns away)"Fuckin' idiots don't even know their own fuckin' shit! Fuck this store, we're leaving!" (This, to her grade-school-age child)

Oh I love those kind of people.

I had someone claim that they bought a computer 5 years previous when my store was only open for 18 months by that time.

They said that we were there and that we were lying. I pwned them by showing out business license showing that we weren't even in existence when she bought the computer.
