Apparently the women's toilet has some offensive graffiti in it as of last night. I haven't seen it but it apparently says something like "I'm a sexy young boy looking for MILFs to f**k, call this number".
So of course any female customers who used that toilet complained about it. After the first complaint, my female co-worker had a look then called the local graffiti removal service. From the second complaint onwards we told people that we are aware of it and are waiting for the graffiti removal people to arrive and clean it (or more likely, paint over it). It's a free service provided by the local council and because it's run by volunteers who don't get paid, it's not exactly rapid response.
Then the police arrived.
Apparently one SC had anonymously called the police and told them we're "displaying offensive pornography".
Once they saw the graffiti and heard what we're doing about it, they decided that there were no real grounds for police involvement. They agreed yes it's offensive but no it's not pornographic and waiting for the volunteer graffiti removal squad is a good enough response. In the meantime, keep on apologising and letting people know it is being dealt with.
