you'd have to have one heck of an imagination to come up with a story like this.
Hollywood movie scripts and fiction novels have to come from somewhere, so it's really not that far-fetched to have someone with such a great imagination invent a really good story to post on the internet.

Wouldn't be the first person with such an imagination to post here on CS and suck the members right into their twisted little game of make believe, and I think that's where the problem lies.

New members who post tales such as this, where the "WOW" factor is so prevalent, usually end up being suspect, even if their tale is true.

All it takes is one or two storytellers to ruin it for legitimate "truth is stranger than fiction" stories.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

Consider that most Law and Order scripts are heavily based on real life events. Lots of crazy stuff happens in real life, which is the inspiration for everything else.

That's why I'm upset. They shouldn't have let her back in for any reason.

The fact that they let her back in and she hurt Technobill that badly.... I think it would be nice if they offered him some compensation, especially if it's something that will affect him for his entire life.

Damn dude...that sucks about your leg. You're young, I think you'll bounce back better than you think you will.

If its a private library - how did she get entry in the first place? And, after said pleasuring incident ...how could she get back in?

I'm not saying this isn't possible...it has just raised many questions.

Now, what I find out later is that phone lady put the suitcase up there, and waited around for me. Then, she charged the bottom of the ladder, making me fall about 10ft onto tile flooring, and the ladder on top of me. Then, she takes the suitcase, and hits me with it. Whereupon, me being the scrawny 17 year old, blacks out.

                  <snip>

Said stickiness was some sort of fluid thing, that came out of a tube, its called KY Jelly. I don't know what this is, should I be worried?
What a bunch of horseshit! I hope they haul her ass in jail pronto and revoke bail this time! I wouldn't worry too much about the KY Jelly coming out of the tubes, but to be on the safe side, get some anti-bacterial soaps and clean yourself. Get better. .

Not sure about the responsibility angle here, but I wonder if her rich brother in law could be held partially responsible for the damages since he bailed her out (financially, I know nothing criminal will stick) which made the attack possible.

                      Hi everyone,

First of all, thanks for the get well soon wishes! I'll need them!

Second, it seems as if in my post drug-induced haze I've neglected a few things.
                      - When I mean private library, the library is maintained by a private benefactor. It functions as a normal public library though, so we have no security, save the police next door.
                      - Upon the time of the ambush, it was very quiet in the library, there are very few patrons then, so it would have been easier for her to do it.
                      - The Harvard interview was just a reach for me. I doubt I'll be able to get in, I just wanted to talk to him to see what my chances are. (My GPAs only about a 3.88)

Third, I've been released from the hospital, after they ran tests on me for what seemed like forever. I'm not concussed because the leg broke the fall, (thus the intensity of its injury). I'm on crutches for now, all casted up, and I'll be going back to work on Tuesday. No one is forcing me, its of my own volition.

Fourth, the private benefactor has called a meeting between himself, myself, my parents, and my supervisor on Friday. I'll let you know how that goes.

Fifth, I visited the police station to talk to Uncle Q, and in the process, talked to her prosecutor also. He said that I'm not to say anything about phone lady, save the fact that she's being prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and that no bail is offered. I think that's called a gag order, but I'm not sure. However, once the court dates get set, and all the stuff is settled around, I can post updates on her.

Sixth, I need advice. The dates are likely to be set in October. I can go if I want, or provide a written statement, and have a cop go in my place (probably Uncle Q). The thing is, October is when I have a crapload of exams. PSAT, SAT, the prep for the two, piano competitions (thank heavens at least my hand is ok) school pre-exit exams, the list goes on and on. If anyone's lost, think back to their junior year of high school. And then wonder weather or not you could have managed with a court battle in there. Should I be going to the date? I'm leaning towards not.

                      Thanks for the wishes,
                      Technobill

Interesting point. If nothing else you could get a financial judgement against her (even if she doesn't have much money) that will follow her for a while.

On the 'WOW' factor, I bet the local police blotter may have something (at least in a general descriptive way) about the incident. You can check around if there is something and Private Message Rapscallion or one of the moderators to it so they can verify the story and give it War Story status.

Good thing you have one of the rare awesome managers out there looking out for you.

Hope you are up and around quickly, crutches, cane or your own two feet.

I don't know what advise to give. On the one hand, you have to get on with your life, so you have to take the tests, go to recitals, etc. ON the other hand, woman needs to be put away. If you're not there to testify, and the judge thinks that she should be let free, then, who knows what she will do free. Then again, let's say you testify, but if she was a stellar lawyer who gets her off with just probabiton and you kind of wasted your time.

Me, I would testify if I had to. It would suck how much you'll have to miss out, or if you have to miss something, but some things (like being able to take the PSAT or what ever test) might be rescheduled for you.

Just do the right thing, even if it does cost you (grades, recitals, etc)
Time! Time! Time is what turns kittens into cats.

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.

                                Advice?

                                My 2 nanocents:

                                1. Bring lawyer to meeting with library owner. GET LAWYER TODAY. You will need legal advice on the restitution, and long term repercussions of this woman's behavior.

                                2. Live like you're OK. Do your PSAT's, your recitals, etc etc. I am sure if there is a conflict with recital vs legal hearing, your lawyer could move to postpone if needed (but do not burn those bridges up!) or you could reschedule the recital.
It will have to mean living day by day.

                                3. Document. Have you been writing a diary? Not electronic, manual. this helps in the form of "Oh I forgot THAT happened" and time stamps/ dates etc.

                                4. Chocolate. Screw morphine, chocolate's where it's at!

                                5. Xray the HELL out of your body. Leg, head, arms...Make sure it's all documented on ANY injury she caused. Bent hair? Write it down.

                                Good luck
