  • No you can't come to our party

Its that time of year again, work xmas parties. Is this just something that happens at the union or does it happen at your workpalce too?CS try to crash the party and then get shitty when they are told to leave its for the employees only.Last year the whole union smelled like turkey, ham and other goodies.I can't count how many CS were pissed that there was a party for us employees only. I heard things like "well we're the customers,we are why you have jobs" and "You shouldn't get holiday partys"(yes I don't get that one either.

We also had idiots trying to get in to eat.they were promtly escorted out.I hope they fell and broke their ass bones. The part part is when I lock up the shop for 2-3 hours to go to the party and put up a sign saying when I'll be back.I come back and CS are standing there like I killed their puppy.

Also we have multiple cookouts for the employees during the summer(yeah burgers and baked beans)and I can tell you the CS are pissed. We've had to start having a guard to check employee IDS so no CS get in.

Do I see a visit from three spirits to this SC in the near future?

Yeah, but I get a discount because I know Jacob Marley.

Screw the scrooges who said no parties for you.

Also, minor nitpit, and should be ignored. Its SC, not CS. Granted the site is called customersucks, but SC stands for two things. Sucky Customers, or my personal fave that happens more often, Stupid Customers.

Holy shiz! This is a new one for me; I've never heard of customers getting upset because companies decided to do something nice for their employees Granted, at Wallyworld, our break room where they fed us was way in the back, so you couldn't smell food unless you actually went in, but still. Sometimes we'd mention to the customers that the store was nice enough to give us lunch that day, and mine always commented on how nice that was. Our official party was always held at the skating rink, though.

You should find out where these nitwits work at and try to crash their company parties.

*sigh* I've encountered the "you shouldn't get parties" line before. Last year we had a Secret Santa potluck about a week before Christmas. I was working and waiting my turn to go take my break and this SC marches up and demands to know why there are so few employees on the floor. I told her that we were having our potluck and that all available employees were enjoying their holiday "thanks for all your hard work" free meal. Then I told her that I'd be happy to help her with anything she needed. She huffed at me "YOU people shouldn't GET potlucks! YOU should have to WORK the WHOLE DAY!" I just stared at her as she stomped away.

Us lowlife people that have to AUTAULLY work for a living.Because we're low wage workers we don't need happiness in our lives,we should work and then go to sleep on our cots in the magic back room.

And many of us don't. Have to have enough for bonuses for the corporate suits, you know.

It reminds me of this quote from Upstairs, Downstairs (Season I "I Dies From Love"):

                      http://www.updown.org.uk/epguide/s1.htm#idfl

"No, no, it's you who are kind, Lady Prudence, spending so much of your time improving the lot of these people who are really already so well cared for, and have so very little to do."

(it is in reference to a picnic outing that was planned for servants from a number of upscale Edwardian households)
I was not hired to respond to those voices.
