Imagine what she would have done if the cup had a picture of Kwanza Bot on it or maybe even Hanaka Zombie.

see this is the odd part, Santa should look like you believe him to be, I mean it is based with German roots, so shouldn't he look Germanic?
Actually, it again depends. There was a saint from the area of Turkey on whom Santa is also based...there are Russian legends...then of course the German tales...so depending on your background would kind of determine what he looks like.

It is also like Jesus, most 'pictures' show him different depending on where your located (IE mexico shows him with darker skin, than the pic my grandmother has) than his biblical description (its in there)

    Personal perception.

I heard an NPR report about black Santas. Basically they were interviewing people about whether they thought all Santas should be white or if it didn't matter. Here's the funny thing (and I don't want to send this to fratching, but this is actually what the reporter discovered), but all the African-Americans the reporter talked to said they thought Santa should be white. I guess it is because growing up they always saw white Santa and a black one would look strange to them. I really don't care either way, but it struck me as funny.

started a topic I Can't Let Her See THAT Cup!!!

I Can't Let Her See THAT Cup!!!

For the holiday season our 32 oz fountain drinks come in a collector cup, a total of 3 designs. Middle-aged female customer comes to one of my cashier's lane to purchase her groceries and get a drink. The cashier gets her a cup and scans it and hands it to her.

SC: "I want a defferent cup...I dont' want THAT design!"
Cashier: "Okay ma'am!" proceeds to go to several other lanes to get a different cup (there are two different Santa designs and the Coke polar bears..she is thinking she wants the polar bears.)
Cashier brings the polar bear cup back to the lane

SC:"NO! I wanted the OTHER SANTA cup!!"
Cashier hunts and finally finds the "other" design.
SC: "I didn't want the Black Santa...I wanted the WHITE Santa. I have my 4 year old granddaughter in the car and I don't want her asking questions!"

    WHAT THE HELL??
To tell the truth, until she said something I hadn't even noticed that one Santa was black and one was white...the "black" Santa looks like he is tanned and doesn't have what you would consider overtly African American features. I doubt if her granddaughter would have even paid any attention.

Gee lady, maybe you could use it as a lesson that Santa doesn't look like any one person, it is how you see him in your mind. I would be more concerned about your prejudices and how that affects her than what picture is on a damn cup.
Working...
