Yeah, kind of sucky story though at least she didn't go medival on your ass for having to take a lunch break. It really sucked that she didn't take your word for it that the watch was too big but she did from someone else. sheesh.

Do you notice that the people who *almost* have their money sucked down the belt to infinity find this hilarious? My response is that it wouldn't have been as funny if it really got sucked down and they had to wait for maintenance to crack the machine open (ours requires an actual screw driver, I can't just pop it open myself).

That reminds me of or copiers from 3 years before. You either put coins or a dollar bill in the machine. I know of at least 3 times people stick in their credit card in the dollar bill slot, even though there was a sign saying "cash only". None of the machines in the library took credit cards, and even if you were paying a fine with a credit card, the staff took the card and ran it. One Sat. afternoon, within an hour of closing, this retard got her card stuck because she put it in the slot for $ bills. We used to get twezzers and pull cards out but the Xerox people told us not to do that, we might get electricuted. Instead of waiting till Mon. she wanted the card out now. Xerox was called in and she had to wait outside after we closed for the Xerox guy to pull the card out.

A lot of the stores are only accepting exchanges after Boxing Day. a number of our stores have Boxing Week sales.

Everyone is in a hurry except us the customer service person.

Ack! I hate that. I agree...their lack of time management is their own fault. If only their tiny brains could understand that.

I have similar experiences to that. The shop I work in is in an arcade which is right near a bus stop. I can't even count the number of times I've had people come in wanting a hamburger (which takes approx. 10mins) and then say "Can you make it fast? I have to catch the bus and it'll be here in a couple of minutes." And they're serious about it too. Usually we refuse but on the odd occasion we've been fooled into making it, we get them running in..."IS IT READY??? THE BUS IS HERE! WHERE'S THE BURGER?"

Apparently some people think it can be done instantaneously, as evidenced by a sign I saw at the local burger place. This one isn't fast food by any means. They make their burgers fresh, and flame-grill them. They're about a half a pound precooked. They're the best burgers I ever had, but they take awhile to make.

The sign they had up said "Burgers take time to cook. If you can't wait or think they should be done in a minute, get something else! -- The Burger Nazi."

LOVE IT!!! I'm going to have that printed up for the shop I work at, my boss will love it too. He already has a small urn, with the the words "Ashes of annoying customers" printed on it, sitting in eyeshot of everyone who walks in.

In all seriousness, people need to be reminded about how long it takes to do things. If they were at home doing what ever it is they expect us to do, it'd take them just as long (probably longer actually). They all need a slap.
