The Coupon Customer
Today, a customer came up to the service desk with 2 receipts saying that he didn't get his free sodas. I found out from my service desk coworker that he needed a coupon and the policy was 1 per customer and the savings card number was the same on both receipts.
When my service desk coworker told the customer the coupon policy, he started yelling and demanded to have both sodas free. He even demanded the manager after he asked my service desk coworker if she was the manager and she told him he wasn't and the assistant store director was paged.
The bagger was sent to the office to get the coupons but I ended up going because he was taking too long. I passed the assistant store director on the way, explained the situation, got a set of the coupons, and the customer was much calmer by the time I got back up to the service desk.
