I'm glad the cop was a great guy. I'm sorry you had to experience that. Welcome to CS, and believe me when I say you have allies here.

    People are idiots.
Being a local drama geek, I participate in our colleges drag show every year, I love getting to work with these men and women who live their lives this way, It it a wonderful experience to get to talk and visit with them.
I also convinced my managers that they should be allowed to use which ever fitting room they feel most comfortable in. Needless to say I get bitched at by prude ladies all the time "Scuse me miss. There is a MAN in the womans fitting room"
"Is there? I didnt see one."
"HE. is dressed up like a WOMAN. Aren't you going to do anything about it! He might be a pervert!"
"Trust me honey, you aint got nothing he want's to look at."
    *angry customer hufffffffff*

^_^ It makes me warm and fuzzy inside to see them get angry.
aww, that's such awesome pwnage!! [head-hug]

    Er, sorry, I'm excitable...

Sorry but this is a chance of a lifetime and I cannot not say it...

Some dicks are easier to get rid of than others.

The thing to remember is the good people out number the jerks. It's just that the jerks make more noise so we notice them more.

That is really horrible....wish I had thought of it.

I had a transgendered customer in my line, and though I did a bit of a double-take (mentally) I was nice and professional, giving my Customs and Courtesies like I'm supposed to. I can't believe (wait, this is Alabama, I can believe it then...) people would do this still. [sigh]

    shureloche,

Just out of curiosity, where in Alabama were you when you had this experience? It'd be interesting to see if it was in my neck of the woods or in LA (Lower Alabama).

That is truly awful. It is terrible to know that there are still people who cannot accept differences in others to the point where they have to go out of their way to make difficulties. I'm really sorry you had to go through that, but I really admire you for handling it so well! Anyway, she was probably just jealous because you're prettier than her

I'm so sorry you were treated that way. My wife and I get looks sometimes when we are out in public as well (we are a married lesbian couple). It sometimes makes me uncomfortable knowing that people stare and stuff, but I refuse to let it stop me from holding my wife's hand, or giving her a kiss.....granted, I won't make out in public or anything extreme, but I will kiss her.

We are lucky, though, to live in Massachusetts. People can stare and comment all they want, but they can't discriminate because it's against the law. And it feels damn good knowing that.

PS - I have to admit that when I see a transgender or a cross dresser out in public I also look a little. But my reasoning for looking is probably different that most peoples. I really admire their courage for being out in public knowing the scrutiny they are under. It takes a lot of guts.

Thing is, in these people's minds freedom for all = freedom to believe/think what I believe/think.

To them, anything else and their precious world will cave in and the globe will descend into anarchy.

Umm, isn't this America, where you're allowed to be yourself, as long as it's not illegal? (Not sure what I'd tell my kids if they saw you though. ) Idiot Manager should have at least reviewed the tapes so as to see that redneck was being an ass.

Tsh, that's awful. The customer, I mean. And the management. At least the officer and the other store weren't rotten.

Welcome to CS, Pretty Lady. ^w^

    Oh, that sucks.

I've never felt I belong to one gender... to the point that answering that on apps always forces me to stop and think about it for a long while.
Sadly, due to circumstances beyond my control, I may not be able to do anything beyond cross-dressing occasionally...
