  • Shitty customer...literally (May be a little gross)

This story requires a little bit of background. The GM of the hotel I work at runs 2 different hotels. One is an Awesome Suites, the other an Awesome Inn. I work at the Awesome Inn. Our maintanance guy spends his time at both.

Guests pay for a week at the Awesome Suites. Things start fine, but soon it becomes harder and harder for them to pay for another night once their week expired. On top of that, they have a dog that cannot control its messes. The managers hate him. They hate is little face. They hate his guts. They hate the way he's always barking. They also hate the mess he left on the rug.

Said mess was in the room, in the hall outside the room, and all over the grounds outside the hotel. N, the manager of both hotels kicks them out. I respect N because he sticks up for employees and has a solid backbone.

A few days later, R, the maint. guy sees them in the hotel I work at, the Awesome Inn. R recognized them from the other hotel, and tells S, the supervisor. S asks N about these people. He tells her not to let them extend the stay.

I asked S more about this later and it just happened by a freak chance that these problem guests happened to pick our hotel not even knowing who the managment was.

Wow. I'm surprised that non-sucky guests didn't complain about that K9.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

Me either. I would have been pissed. I wouldn't have screamed at the desk people, but I would have made it clear that they needed to get that dog out now.

I'm unclear on this detail since it didn't happen to me. Just at my hotel and our sister hotel.

You know, something similar happened to my oldest nephew's mother. She worked as a cleaning lady at a hotel near my father's house, and she found that a person had crapped on the bed. And she knew it was human poop because she had a baby, and that hotel doesn't allow pets. She actually went to her boss and asked her if cleaning poopy bedsheets was in her job description. Turns out that, no, it wasn't. It was the maintenance guy's.

All I can say is that I feel sorry for that hotel's maintenance guy.

                    Oh, yes animal matter....

I once had to pick-up an ARMLOAD of dog p*ss soaked towels piled outside a guest's bedroom because

                    A) other guests complained of the smell
                    B) their dog could not control it's bladder (it got nervous being left alone, even though in the contract they sign they agree the animal is not to be left alone in the room)
                    C) they thought to solve the problem by carpeting the room with hotel towels.

Yes, I (Security) picked them-up because it was about 2AM, no housekeeping, and it was a health hazard. But I do think the guest got charged for new carpeting
