Owner: Dave, I had a booking in my unit that I need you to look up

Me: ok I have you pulled up

Owner: unacceptable rate, move it immediately

Me: ok you will need to speak to the supervisor to get that approved

Owner: no, it's already approved, move the damn reservation

Me: I cant approve that sir....you need to speak the supervisor

Owner: son, I am gonna say this one more time and if you tell me again to speak to a supervisor, I am gonna rip you a new one, the reservation will be moved. I am not asking, I am telling.

    Me: hang on

Owner: Do not transfer me to anyone

I transferred him anyway. I am not sure what, if anything, she did for him

Good for you! As if such threats will be viable over the phone...he'll rip you a new one...bet you were just shaking in your boots! NOT!

Now wait. Was an OWNER saying the rate charged was unacceptably low? Because I have to wonder if this was for an oh-I'm-so-pwescious customer that the noodle-spined manager gave huge discounts to. In which case I hope the owner ripped manager a new one

        GOOD FOR YOU!
Let that supervisor give the guy whatever he wants. You do not need the stress of trying to enforce company policies only to have them overruled by that spineless jellyfish.

Nicely done... is there an update?
You gotta polish a memory like a stone. Chip off the parts that remind you it was just a game. Work it until it's indistinguishable from any other memory.
