Guest: Yea Dave, I am here now and was turned away from the pool at the park

Me: ok well I do see that there is a pool in the community where you are

Guest: I dont like that pool. I want to use the one by the park

Me: unfortunately, that pool is owned and operated by another agency and they only allow their guests to use it

Guest: why wasnt this explained to me?

Me: well you have pool access

Guest: but I want the park pool

Me: I am sorry but you cant use that pool

Guest: we drove over 1000 miles to swim in that pool and we find out we cant use it....I want my money back

Me: I cant give you a refund

Guest: no you listen to me, Dave. What you are doing is illegal and I will go all the way to the supreme court if I have to. I was lied to.

    Me: how so?

Guest: because I was told I had a pool

Me: you do have a pool

Guest: that little rinky dink thing is not a true pool....if I cant swim in the other pool, I may as well go home. I intend to sue if I am not given every penny back along with a formal apology letter from your general manager

Me: I can let you speak to the manager

The manager very politely told the guy to pack sand. He gets no money back and he said he is calling his lawyer. He left and went home because he couldnt use the pool he wanted.

Geez, what a whiny baby. How does he deal when he's presented with a genuine dilemma? It almost sounds like a parody of a rich spoiled brat: "This is a peasant pool. I want a real pool."

Glad your manager stood up do him though, but I can't believe this turd called his lawyer AND cut his vacation short over this. I'll say it again: WHAT A BABY.

If the pool at the park was the one he wanted he should have chosen to stay there instead. I agree with Melicious Motormouth, what a baby.

I don't know why I continue to be amazed by your stories...but with each one, I just am completely dumbfounded that people can be so friggin' entitled. I mean, I understand that a vacation is something that can cost a lot of money and set people back, but it's a friggin' vacation! ENJOY YOURSELF you stupid, stupid human! Some people NEVER get to take fancy vacations! BE GRATEFUL!

Must've been some special water in that pool.

The only pool I would drive 1000 miles to swin in involves Playboy bunnies...

It isn't that pool, is it?

If he wanted to drive 1000 miles from his renting location to swim in another pool, why doesn't he just rent at the place where the pool is?

Oh wait, he's probably one of those cheap farkers who can't afford it!

I fondly remember a wonderful pool at the old Pier 66 Resort in Fort Lauderdale that we visited several times. However, we were at the hotel to take a ship the next day and the pool just happened to be there. There is no way I would drive 1000 miles to swim in a particular pool unless it was the five-star, cast-iron plunger, documented Fountain of Youth.

I would love to know from whence these people come. It almost seems as if VRS's customers come from a totally different space and time continuum. They certainly don't seem like humans.

I've often wondered if his posts are verbatim or if they are paraphrased. Either way, they make me giggle. And I always, always hear "Dave" in a certain computer-voice.

For the most part, I paraphrase unless they something so ridiculous, I have to quote them exactly. I think it looks better to write it out as a dilalouge then just a description though. I am glad you enjoy them and I promise more will inevitably come
