So we have this SC who's a regular with us.
Surprisingly I didn't realize she was an SC when I started working at the store because usually when she comes in she's very nice and pleasant to deal with.
Where's the suck you ask?
Well the problem that is she expects everyone who works at the store to treat her well, smile when they see her, be attentive when she's in the store and basically treat her like royalty.
I also found out she's a lot like a third grade tattletale because if anything, ANYTHING upsets her while she's here she immediately takes it up with the manager, I'm talking about such things as:
1) Complaining the Assistant Manager used a rude tone of voice with her one day (not true)
2) Complaining about me screwing up a transaction (all I had to do was void out what I'd done and restart, I had it all fixed before she went out the door and it was my second week on the job)
3) Complaining our windows were dirty (yes really)
4) Upset that we were dealing with other customers when she came in and did not immediately drop what we were doing to help her.
5) She accused an former CW of being racist (the SC in question is black), as far as I know, the allegations were untrue.
And it goes on and on like this. She always goes straight to the store manager, never deals with any of us.
It gets worse.
On many occasions she has escalate complaints to our corporate number and to our district manager.
Apparently corporate and the DM have gotten so tired of dealing with her constant complaints that they have advised our manager as well as the rest of us that work here to pretty much walk on eggshells with her and do whatever we can to please her so she won't complain.
I have also found out this means the SC is pretty much not bound by any of our policies anymore. We accept practically any return she brings back, even if it's something we'd never take back for anyone else or she's well outside the return timeframe. We also allow her to trade in anything, regardless of any suspicions we have of where it came from or even if she has 4 copies of the same game.
We usually don't allow holds of new release games that haven't been pre-ordered, but of course it's ok to do it for her, never mind half the time she never shows up to pick up the game anyway. If she calls, we hold it, that's the rule.
I suggested banning her from the store, my Manager says he'd love to but our DM says we can't do it because she spends too much money with us. ($300/month...sometimes less)
I had no idea someone who is relatively calm and pleasant most of the time could be such an SC.
