  • How... May I... HEeeeeeelp... YOU.

Me: Welcome to Bank, may I have your name please?
    SC: Name.
Me: Thank you. How may I help you?
SC: Don't you want the account number?
Me: Depending on the question. <pause> How may I help you?
SC: I have a question about an account.
Me: I'll be more than happy to assist you. How may I help you with the account?
SC: The account number is givesitreallyfast.
Me: Thank you. <pause> How may I help you?
SC: Don't you want to verify me first?
Me: Depending on the question. <pause> How is it that I may help you?
    SC: VERIFY ME.
Me: Certainly. ::Verifies:: <pause> How may I help you?
SC: SHEESH I have never been more hassled and had more trouble calling in before. Everything must be so difficult.

I got him AGAIN. First thing I did before even asking what he wanted was to verify him. He was STILL a SC in other ways on that call and hung up when I asked him if he had any more questions

    And a quickie:

Me: That dept opens in four hours.
    SC: Which timezone?
Me: In four hours... any timezone ...

And to think I'm normally complaining in my head if they have to verify something for an account just to ask a question.... I'd be happy not to provide the information.

(I've had to give the account owner's name, account name, verification questions/etc to: find out when a place closes -- and to report a downed power line... that wasn't even on the property of the account they demanded to know).

Well, that's a switch, at least...usually it's people bitching that you have to verify them even if they're doing something with their account.
