People waiting just a couple days before the launch?

I got ya beat.

Driving past Best Buy on my way to the mall to get mommy and daddy's Christmas presents.......tents in the fricken Best Buy parking lot! (and Best Buy is in a strip mall with about 10 other stores)...oh and this wasn't a Wednesday, this was a MONDAY.

Wow. The Best Buys in my city wouldn't allow anyone to camp out in front of the stores. They couldn't start waiting in line until a few hours before the release. I have a friend who works as a stocker at walmart. She said there was actually a fight over who was in line where. I can't remember if it was for the PS3 or for the Wii.

Kaezoo, all or most all consoles lose money during launch time, it's not until a lot latter that high production leves enable them to make money over the console. They do so to be able to place the console faster on the market and benefit from the sale of games and licenses to corporations.

Well, it's always been Sony or Microsoft. Sega, Atari, or Nintendo have ALWAYS made money per console.

The others were never around long enough.

Also if you notice it's Microsoft and Sony who tend to be so intent in making "cute PCs for gaming", the specs and design on these things do give them a lot of power but they make them also too broad spec-ed they're just computers in the disguise of a gaming machine.

Nintendo has always been designind consoles to be gaming consoles, not general use machines. yes this limits fancy effects and possibilities some, but it also makes the machines cheaper, and a hundred times stabler.

See, I may be judgemental, but I rarely ever see gamer boys that aren't 6 feet tall and 90 pounds, face full of either zits or scars/pits/craters from zits, a horrible speech impediment, or smell really foul.
I would pay to see a hot, NORMAL gamer guy. I always see gamers as losers who can't get girls to save their lives.

Now I am a gamer but I only play games if everyone I know is too busy or if the weather is just bad or if I feel like doing nothing, I'm 6'2 and weigh 165 and from what many girls that I know, I've been told that I am quite "hot." Truth is, I'm a closet nerd and I'm not ashamed of it, I know a girl who is a big metalhead and she looks like the last person who would be into Tool, Iron Maiden, and Metallica.

I know a girl who is very stunning and she can basically turn just about every head in a room when she walks in. She is the biggest closet nerd I know, I've seen her dress up for the Lord of the Rings movies, Harry Potter book releases, and various other things and she isn't ashamed of it.

Thing is not all gamers are losers and it's a bad idea to judge on looks alone, yes stereotypes do exist at some point or another and I have witnessed actual stereotypes in action but not all people are like the stereotypes that are portrayed about them.
