  • Go figure Im a girl

So as I said before I work in retail.... aka Hell-mart I am a cashier... but I have also thrown freight and worked the floor... So there is very little I don't know how to do.

Yes I have boobs and I know what video games are...

    TB teenboy
    me is well me

TB was there a game brought up here?
me Fallout3 and Call of duty?
TB yeah those are suppose to be good.
Me well Fallout is a great game... I like the called shots and I like how expansive the world is.

    TB your a girl...

    * i sigh and count* Yes I am a girl, but that doesnt mean that it isnt a great game good quests with some nice interaction.

TB Oh your son must play it...

Me I play it on my xbox 360 and I also have other systems... you do realize that there are girls in almost everything now right??
I need to see your ID to make sure your old enough to buy the games.

TB I dont have it with me.. Come on I buy like a ton of games here

Me I need to see it to varify your age. I like to keep my job.

TB your just being a bitch because I called you out about your son... a girl wouldn't play shooters they can't shoot that is why the army doesn't let them in.

Me *haveing already had a bad bad bad start to the day* My son does not play video games... nor will he ever get the chance to he died at the beginning of the year at 2 weeks old. NOW if you do not have ID that proves your age *you* are not getting the games. Now have a nice night and if you want come back when you have your id.

    He just slunk off.....

I did turn myself into my manager... who... floored me... as I got a laugh a hug and told next time just say no id no sale and shoo him off...

I know how you felt. My wife and I have lost all three of our children to mis-carriages, and even now it's a sensitive subject. The kid was out of line from the beginning, and got the smackdown he deserved. Kudos to your manager for realizing the situation.

I hate it when people assume girls don't play games just because they're girls. I happen to love gaming, and it never fails to surprise people when I know what they're talking about.

The boyfriend got me into video games, but now I'm a huge nerd for it. I get some flack when I go to buy my own games. People asking me who I'm buying the game for. Ummmm, me??? They either react with, "No way?! Seriously?!" or just shut up.

The game stores where I live are pretty good about not being discriminatory, and whenever I go to buy a game all by myself, they usually ask me if i've played other games like it and how well I liked them...

Lucky. My town is completely infiltrated by the smelly, acne covered, virgin stereotypical nerds. They start panting and drooling anytime anything remotely female gets too close.

Boy, I HOPE girls play games. I am single and I'm really hoping I end up with a girl who is as into gaming as I am. (ALL kinds, not just video...I love strategy board games and card games (like Magic) and live session RPGs as well.)

I have the Nintendo DS and have over 12 games. Yeah, I am also a girl!

Not sure why it takes "a man" just to push buttons and play a simple game. Anyone play Tomb Raider Underworld? That game is awesome although I can't get past one lousy stage.

GameBoy, GBA, DS, DS Lite, N64, XBox, XBox 360, Genesis... I have over 200 game titles in several genres... and then there's WoW, EQ, EQ2... Over 30 different computer games... D&D, AD&D, D20 Modern, tons of White Wolf games, Shards, GURPS....

Yeah. Girls can be geeks. My husband thinks it's awesome that I know more about some games than he does.

And I am passing all the knowledge and interest in gaming on to my three lovely daughters. LONG LIVE THE GEEK QUEENS!!!!

Can't remember how long ago or what the game was......

But there was this one woman who would play FPS games all the time.... and kicked the butt's of anyone who dared even have a moving pixel on her screen.....

.......and she never used the mouse - just the arrow keys. People I knew back then were shocked that she was so good just in general - but not using a mouse? That's just impressive all the way around.

Genesis, N64, Gamecube, Wii, PS2, GBA, GBA SP, DS, DS Lite, and a regular at Friday Night Magic and one of a few DMs in my town and regular D&D-holic.

And we all (hopefully) know I is a female.

My last BF hated I was nerdy and "smart" like that, so we cut off real quick. I soothed the pain by buying some Fat Packs and boosters of the latest Magic set at the time (I think it was Mirrodin...?)
