I know how you felt. My wife and I have lost all three of our children to mis-carriages, and even now it's a sensitive subject.
I lost two children to mis-carriages. It is still a sensitive subject for me.

The kid was out of line from the beginning, and got the smackdown he deserved. Kudos to your manager for realizing the situation.
Yes he did get the smackdown that he deserved. I hate people who are sexist.

I love playing on xbox live as a girl. Am currently addicted to team fortress. I play it on my comp for the full version, but I'm much better with a controller. Guys just think I'm a little kid when I talk...There are girls around. And Fallout is great. I just wish there were more ways to customize your home. That kid was terrible and way out of line.

What? No women allowed in the Army? When did THIS happen!?

Me, I like Fable. And Big Game Hunter. Don't have much time to play though.

My last BF hated I was nerdy and "smart" like that, so we cut off real quick.
One of my exes gave me the silent treatment for an entire DAY for taking three minutes to fix his tape deck.
He had been at it for 2 hours.

Heck, it's a GEAR. You don't need high edumacation to figure out you have to ease the toothed part into the other toothed part, sheesh.

Boy, I HOPE girls play games. I am single and I'm really hoping I end up with a girl who is as into gaming as I am. (ALL kinds, not just video...I love strategy board games and card games (like Magic) and live session RPGs as well.)
don't suppose you live in Indiana? We need another player for our Earthdawn & AD&D games.

This old lady has been gaming since 1979. both my kids have been gaming since they were 5 or 6.

The only single guy in my D&D group has it BAD for me. lol

As so many are. XD My BF is STILL amazed I didn't date in high school due to lack of interest, as he and his friends would have been having virtual battles over me.

That guy in the OP was horrid. So. Out. Of. Line. Ugh.

I'm not a girl gamer, really, but I play some. I still love playing my copy of Civilization 2:Gold Edition (which shows how often I go out to get video games). I like strategy games.

...in any case, it's a people thing, not a gender thing. Some guys don't like video games, and some girls LOVE them. As I said, the guy in the OP was horrid.

                        Let's see...Super Nintendo, N64, DS and DSi, Wii, PSP, PS2, currently borrowing a PS3, and 360.

I'm actually more of a PC gamer. I LOVE Fallout 3 on the PC. Team Fortress 2, I prefer on 360 because the competition is less fierce. I tend towards fantasy games usually, like Neverwinter Nights. I'm also back into WoW *sigh*. I'm not as much a fan of fighting games, though Guilty Gear fascinates me to no end.

I enjoy the occasional Magic game, and adore D&D (3.5 edition; can't stand 4th edition) and Call of Cthulhu, both games as both GM and player. I'm also working on creating my own pen-and-paper gaming system.

Do I qualify as a gamer nerd yet?

Girls can't play FPS games? Someone needs to tell my former othe rhalf of the ass kicking pair we made in Rainbow 6, hell, we regularly played 3-1 (Me and her on one team, 6 others on another team) and almost always whooped them.

I never got into the Civ games, though Age of Empires rules.

My mind doesn't work so well on FPS games because, there's not enough going on so my brain gets stuck, I'm almost always analyzing as many aspects of the game environment as possible (Which is why I make a perfect scout for ArmA/ArmA 2, which is a brilliant game by the way, why be a regular old gropo when you can pilot helicopters, attack aircraft and tanks )

I've been gaming since the days of the NES, and still have a large collection of NES/SNES/Genesis games tucked safely away in storage...

I've been gaming less recently since I didn't have the money to buy new games much, but since I've moved in with the boyfriend, I've inherited his very large collection of PS2 games. Love. <3

I was also a member of his D&D group from the first time I came down here to visit him, even though I could only play with them once every few months. I love being able to play every week now! Yay!

                            So yeah, girl geeks ftw!

... a girl wouldn't play shooters they can't shoot that is why the army doesn't let them in.
Oh really? I guess Mr. Rectal Rash has never heard of Captain Kim Campbell a.k.a "Killer Chick"? Let's see him try and land a damaged A-10 Thunderbolt plane with no hydraulics.

Well technically she was air force, not army, but who's counting.
