  • Passenger tries to hand me dirty tissue

I was collecting used cups etc on a tray in the cabin when some woman tries to hand me a dirty tissue covered in snot etc

Me: Er...can you just pop that in your sickbag?
SC: Why? It's your job to collect rubbish
Me: I do not wish to touch your used tissue with my bare hands.

She then grumbled to her husband about upppity 'stewardesses

Seriously. In her little office job do people hand her used tissues?

I really wish my airline would supply us with plastic gloves to collect crap off people.

    No longer a flight atttendant!

As my hubby said just yesterday, people have dehumanized cashiers and people in customer service fields.I mean really I don't even ask my hubby to throw away my used kleenex.Although he had to wipe my nose after my surgery because I was out of it.

There a lot of people who think that cashiers are part of the registers & get incredibly upset when a cashier "acts human".

Explains why so many cashiers are surprised when I ask how their day is going and actually mean it. It's really not hard to treat people as people, seriously.

I would be upset only if I was using a SCO and it started moving, etc.

One of my jobs at the shipping company was to oragnise pick up and drop off of dry cleaning, people would just dump their dirty clothes all over my desk.... no name, no note just a jumble of dirty clothes.

I would make no effort to find out who they are, I would just wait until they came huffing back asking when their clothes would be back... and say loudly "oh so your the person who just dumped their dirty laundry all over my desk, next time please fill out the form and use a bag, I had to wipe it down with disinfectant after you did that" and point to their dirty clothes that I had heaped on the floor.

The same woman did it twice before she got the message that it is extremely rude to dump your dirty shit all over my desk... use a freaking bag people YUCK

I won't leave dirty tissues at a table in a restaurant either. Unless I can wrap it in a used paper napkin.....
I really just stuff the darn things in my purse untill I can throw them out myself. (at least that way I disgust no one but myself...)
              I no longer fear HELL.

I would never dream of handing anyone a used tissue.

I like the passegers at my airline who cover their tray with their napkin when they have finished so we don't have to stare at the remains of their food. I do that myself when I order room service on trips. It just seems polite rather than leaving the tray outside so everyone can see my half eaten food.

ugh, had a customer do that to me. She seemed uterly miffed as I tore off a bit of receipt paper to handle it. noticing her look i replied, "I'm not touching that with my bare hands."

I've found a dirty tissue in our loose roll bin once. Disgusting pigs, the trash can was less than two feet away. The I got to deal with irate SC when I had no rolls as we had to toss them all and clean and sanitize the display case.

Do you realize just how much energy it takes to move your hand 2 feet? Sheesh.....That's what you slaves are there for....

                        Kidding....

I try to leave my used kleenex in a state where there is no snot dripping off it. If that means an extra couple kleenexes, so be it.

                          Ew! What a horrible person.
I was mortified when I had to hand the flight attendant my used (folded over and closed) airsick bag. Is there an etiquette for giving another person a bag full of puke? I don't think Emily Post covered that...

Yeah...it's called throwing up in disgust.

If I have a customer trying to hand me used napkins or tissue or trash from their carts, I either point them at the nearest trash bin, or I grab the trash bin and hold it up for them to toss it in themselves. No way am I touching it myself.

No one's ever snapped at me for not taking it directly, thank god.
