Inadvertent Pwnage OR My Favourite Customer (long, apparently...)

I just love when SC's put their feet in their mouths. I'm not much of a drinker, but as far as wines go, I like the white wines.

So this sushi is delivered to the table, and I proceed to try some. It wasn't bad. I have a second piece, her friend is nibbling on her second as I chew on a third, when GF declares, "It's eel."

Beat. Chew. Shrug. Swallow.

I didn't have anymore, but her friend FREAKED out about it. The next day when we picked her up to go to the amusement park, she was whining that her stomach was upset and it was from the eel.

My hubby convinced me to 'just try one piece' of eel sushi, because a good friend of ours convinced him to try it and he liked it, and we generally have similar tastes. Surprisingly, I liked it, and it was ranked third among my favorite sushi (after tuna and salmon). Especially because it's something that generally comes without avocado when it's in a roll...I don't get why 75% of rolls come with avocado, or worse, avocado wrapped in avocado, but the stuff causes an instant gag/spit reflex for me. I don't know if I'm allergic or what, but my body has never allowed me to swallow any.

Then I discovered a new place around here called the Sultan Wok that has a "Yankee Roll". Salmon, tuna, yellowfin, and eel...DEEP FRIED just long enough to cook the fish and make the outside crunchy. That stuff is HEAVEN.

Unagi nigiri is to die for.
