This surprises me. When I briefly worked in a alcohol serving establishment the reps would provide branded glasses for free. I assume they saw it as advertising.

There's a restaurant/brewpub near my brother's house that you can get a sample tray of all their house beers...you get six little glasses; I'd guess they add up to a pint or two at the most. Personally, I don't like beer but my dad and my uncle have been known to pick up a couple six packs of some obscure brands and split them up.

Charge them a $20.00 deposit on a branded glass. They have to show Id when getting it and returning it. They wont wont the branded glass anymore. (feeling mildly mean today)

There's a place here that has one drink served in a gold plated goblet. You leave your shoes as a deposit.

On the topic of toilet paper, I get SCs who yell "There's no toilet paper!" in a tone of voice that implies that I stole it. I think actually they wanted to steal it, because when I do give those kind of SCs a roll to put in there, the next cusotomer complains that there's no toilet paper. I don't want to know if it's possible to use up one entire roll in one sitting, I fear the answer is probably yes.

When working at [The Chemists] we had to security tag the loo roll in the public loos as people would steal it quicker than we could put it out.

To answer your question re usage, I've never known someone use an entire roll in one go, but my Crazy Bitch of an Ex could use over an entire roll in one day...

Your loss. I think the whole "American beer sucks" stereotype comes from people who only drink the main brands like Budweiser and Coors. There are several smaller brands in the U.S. who have much better quality beer, or so I've heard. I really don't drink much, I just took that from what my dad told me, he usually drinks Jager and anything else German, a long with whiskey and wine.
