I've had one person tell me the Charioteer was a good fit for me, but I've no idea whether that was because of the means by which arcana are chosen, or simply a more generic "You're kinda ambitious, aintcha?"
There are many ways of doing it. I use numerology, myself. Some people do it other ways, though.

Is numerology the one where you add your birth date together? I googled it and came up with 80 + 05 + 19 + 10 = 114; 11 + 4 = 15, which gave me the devil. So, uh, there you go, now you know two.

Sorry, I'm dragging this pretty off-topic.

Next time you get first-aid questions, you could just tell them to apply pressure to the noise hole until the noise stops

I know this is going to sound rather weird, but I've wanted two particular Tarot decks for a while now, before I actualy mess around with readings.

(As an aside, I kinda killed a friend's Tarot deck one day. >.> I kinda forget that I can jinx things easily.)

One I can't remember offhand, it just seemed to fit me perfectly. It was some form of animal-deck, but I can't remember which one.

The other? The deck design they use in the game Persona 3. I just love how those cards look.

And the Persona deck is rare, especially outside of Japan. Good luck. =)

Crow's Magick Tarot, that's it... I kept forgetting.

I hope to get the Persona deck someday... It's one of those things, once you've seen it, it makes an impression. Especialy if you've played the game as well.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Somewhat more seriously, as a question to any/all, for the sake of satisfying the curiosity of someone who doesn't really believe in this sort of thing (namely, me), what would y'all recommend as reading material?

(I don't, however, rag on those who do believe it. My general opinion is along the general lines of the Wiccan Rede, even if I'm not one. "An it harm none, do what ye will.")
No matter how low my opinion of humanity as a whole gets, there are always over-achievers who seek to surpass my expectations.

There are a number of books that tell you how to read the cards. Libraries usually have some good works, but in my opinion your best bet is to just buy a deck. The Merlin and the Gendron Decks are good for really getting into the imagery of the cards and the story behind them.

Incidentally, my decks are The Gendron Deck (my first)
The Starter Deck (Which helped me to internalize the text book meaning of the cards, thus allowing me to go completely off book)
                          The Robin Wood deck
and the Dragon Tarot (the Robin Wood deck can be very racy and I pull out the Dragon Tarot as it only has Dragons. Not alot of parents get offended when you expose their kids to naked dragons)

My arcana is the Chariot, which I know because it corresponds with Sagittarius (Anyone who thinks Pluto isn't a planet isn't a Sag.

My favorite interpretation of any of the cards is the Manga Tarot's Six of Swords. A mother crane is pecking at herself, causing herself to bleed inorder to feed her six baby cranes.

Sorry, long winded. I never miss the chance to talk shop.

Wondering what my arcana is, I Googled on "Tarot arcana" and found a site that answers "Which Major Arcana Tarot Card Are You?" For me it was a three way tie between The High Priestess, The Sun and Strength (all 81%). The tie breaker question said I am the High Priestess. I guess gender doesn't matter.
"The High Priestess is a card of intuition, instinct and hidden knowledge. She knows all your secrets, you can hide nothing from her. Yet you will never know the secrets she herself protects."
"I don't have to be petty. The Universe does that for me."

Again, Neither Mrs. Smith nor Mr. Waite ever thought to give me a list of locations in your house. And therefore, I cannot find pentagram necklace. Really. I'm very glad its silver. I'm excited that you got it from your best friend you've known for the last fifteen years. And I am positively ECSTATIC that you got it when you joined your coven. Really, words cannot express my joy for you.

However I can only hazard a gue...

Oh, good, you found it under the couch.
This post reminds me of 2 great Steven Wright lines:

                                1. (He swears this really happened: ) "I called information. I asked "where are my socks?" She said "They're behind your couch" ....And they were!

                                2. "I recently played a game of poker, but we couldn't find a deck of playing cards. So we used a deck of tarot cords. I got a full house and 3 people died."
Aliterate : A person who is capable of reading but unwilling to do so.
