I work at a chain department store and it gets pretty crazy on sundays.
two kids come up to me during the busiest point of the day, and ask me to price check stuffed animals.. they didn't stand in line, so I didn't have to help them so I told them to go back and find a similar stuffed animal. They came to me again saying that the found the price tag, then lost it again... but they knew the price was a dollar. I told them that I needed the codes for the animals not just the price. They went away somewhere...
later.. at register
SC with two kids: Excuse me, how much are these animals?
Me: I don't know I'll have to do a price check on them.
SC: WELL, you should have done that earlier and save me and my kids time, i'm very busy and you are wasting my time.
Me: sorry, do you want a price check or do you want to leave them.
SC: *looks at her kids* see, this lady wouldn't pay attention to you cause you are kids. She doesn't think you're important. Just cause your kids.
Me: *thinking I would like to throw my scanner at her*
SC: you're wasting my time.
Me: I'm sorry,
SC: blahblahlakboew wastingtime bkagkajet price check
Me: so you want a price check
SC: AWERJWER
Me: make up your mind.
SC: EXCUSE ME MISS *looks at my nametag but it's hidden
* can I talk to the manager?
Me:
ME: I'll go do a price check.
so I run to find the most expensive stupid stuffed animals since there are none left that the kids were holding and I have the decency to make another tag for them.
I apologize even though I wish I didn't because THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO STAND IN LINE and not make a big scene because she made them cut. Its hypocrisy to have little kids run up to the front because they are little and have them ask for a favor I would've said no to if it were an adult cutting in line, then blame me for not treating her children as customers and neglecting them because they weren't adults.
I just realized that after I apologized.
I wonder what her children will grow up to be like...
