On shorthaul flights we don't have individual bottles for passengers. We have plastic cups for water from big bottles. As crew we also have small bottles supplied for crew use only.
Recently a passeger demanded a big (2 litre bottle of water) as they were thirsty. When he saw my little bottle he wanted that instead and got pissy when I said it was crew water only. Should have bought his own water bottle in the terminal really!
