OK, this lady was a class A entitlement whore... and that's being nice. She wasn't even paying for her room, delta was... yet she was still complaining the loudest.
Anyway, from the moment she walked in there were problems.
First thing she does as soon as she walks through the door is start complaining "is the air conditioning broken, it's roasting in here"
Of course everyone else just gets a confused look... everyone else was perfectly comfortable in the lobby... I actually thought it was a bit cool. Oh well, we can just get her in her room and she can crank her AC as much as she wants.
Oh no, not that easy, I tell her that we need an ID and a credit card for any incidentals or damage.
She of course blows her lid, how dare I ask for a credit card, Delta is paying for the room, she shouldn't have to give us anything (she didn't even want to give me her ID)... this is the first time I offered to cancel the transaction and have the driver take her back to the airport to find alternate accommodations, no, she doesn't want that, she wants me to check her in without a credit card... I hold firm and tell her the two options are credit card or back to the airport.
She finally gives me the credit card, I check her in... finally finished, right... oh how wrong.
She hasn't even made it to her room, she comes back to complain that it is obvious that the hall had been flooded earlier. How did she know? Well, it's obvious because we had fans out in the hallway... of course the explanation that the carpets had been shampooed was just way too convenient a cover up for her (because you know, we'd never actually clean our carpets... right
)
She finally relents and goes to her room. She comes out irate because quote "that room is a bazilian degrees"... uhuh... yeah...
Oh, it gets better, she is irate that we would put her in a room with a wall mounted AC rather than central air. We are charging way too much for a hotel that uses wall mounted ACs (remember, she's not paying) and she just can't stay somewhere without central AC... at this point I am more than happy to oblige and cancel out her stay.
Now though, some information, every single hotel in this area uses wall mounted AC's... even the Raddison, which is the highest end hotel in the neighborhood... the other side of the airport is going to be about the same... you want central air you need to go to one of the major hotels downtown, and Delta aint paying for those.
