You can also create your own home theatre system using a regular television set, a set of RCA-jack audio cables and a stereo system with speakers connected. If you have a set of surround sound speakers in addition to the larger speakers, that's a plus in itself.

Throw in either a vcr, dvd player or a combo deck and you're all set.
