This guy has two returns from the kids department. One item has a price tag and one does not. He has no receipt. Now we can't scan the barcode on the item. It needs to have our price sticker on it. He can do the return for a store credit. I get called to the service desk because it is my department and I was the manager on duty while the assistant was on lunch.

SD..... I have a return with no receipt and only one has a tag.
ME..... OK let me go check and see if we have that item with no tag. (I check the department and don't see it but it is possible we had it so I get a similar item and call the service desk with the price)
SD..... "JLG to the service desk."
ME..... Yes.
SC..... This item is not $5.99 let me call my girlfriend and see what price she says it is.
ME..... Sir you don't have a tag or receipt and I had to use a similar item for the price.
SC ..... (calls his girlfriend that says she paid $7.99) It is $7.99 not $5.99!!
ME..... Sir we don't have that item here and you have no tag or receipt so that is the price.
SC..... But my girlfriend said she paid $7.99 not $5.99!!!!
ME..... If your bring in your receipt stating that then it will be returned for that price.
SC..... So you are cheating me out of my $2.00?
ME..... You don't have a receipt or tag and that is all we can do.
SC..... (turns to SD) Can YOU give me my $2.00?!
SD..... Nope, she is the manager and I am just the cashier.
SC..... (turns back to me) What is your name?
ME..... (says name) Would you like me to spell it for you?
He takes the store credit and walks out with my name and the number to the district office
That was about two weeks ago and I never heard a thing about it again.
