A Customer Complained About Me!

OK. Not exactly.

Eugene came upstairs to tell me that a customer complained about me. It seems she had called us earier today and I told her that Carl didn't work here and I didn't know him.

Eugene explained that it was likely that she has called the wrong number and another person with the same name as me told her (truthfully) that Carl didn't work there.

But no, she INSISTED she certainly did NOT call the wrong number

I guess it's much more likely that I randomly misinform customers about who actually works here.

That, or she gave you the wrong name when she called, asking for George or something. Later she's upset because you didn't magically know who she meant and therefore lied to her.

I was mostly covering emails and only took three calls before the complaint was "filed." Two were mean looking for activations and one was a guy asking a question about the license agreement. I swear I never talked to her.
