Let us know what happened with crazy lady! Did she actually get-out of her car while it was sitting on the curb to check the doors? Did she even understand what she did? Does she have to pay for the damaged product?

Yeah, she jumped out with her car on the curb. I think the car was so big she couldn't even tell how far up she had pulled, and with such a big car, she couldn't feel the bump as she hit the curb. She hasn't paid for the damage yet, but that's because they have to get the window priced and we mind as well lump all the charges together. She is being charged though, definitely.

I hate it when cops tailgate. I once had one behind me, on a section of the road where there is not much of a shoulder so it is not really safe to pull over; it widens after a bit with a real shoulder. I was not speeding or anything, either. This cop got up real close but did not turn on his lights. As soon as we got up to the point where the roadens widens, the flashing lights came on, and I pulled to the side. The cop proceeded to pass me to pull over the car in front of me. Was it really necessary to ride my bumper for that?

Sometimes I feel sorry for cops. People always pull 5 miles below the speed limit if there's a cop behind them, so they're always going slow. I would get so frustrated.

FaF did say she was "already going way over the speed limit". That doesn't, however, excuse the cop's behavior.

(And the isn't addressing all cops, just that particular one, for the record. I don't buy into the "all cops are abusive assholes" view.)

Yeah, I admit that I was speeding. It was little back roads out in farm land, and the only time there're cops around the area is during quota time, which isn't yet so I don't know what he was doing here.

And like I said, I have mad respect for cops. I know a lot of them in our area, and it's always fun around christmas when the fire dudes and the cops do the tree sales. I bake stuff and make hot cocoa for them and just chill (literally sometimes)

So knowing the habits of the county mounty, I set off to go home from school, and who do I encounter? You got it! So I go to pull past him, and of course he accellerates. By the time I got to 95 km/h and he is right beside me, I figure I will just slow down and proceed to drive following him. asshole then slows down, matching my speed perfectly. so I am stuck driving on the wrong side of the road, and getting angrier by the minute. I see a large semi approaching me, so I have to decide how I am going to get back into my proper lane. I try slowing down further, so does he. So I push the pedal to the floor, and he is still matching me. Finally I am at the point of 15 seconds left before I become road kill, or crash into the ditch, I decide to floor it, and just as I see him accelerate, I hit my brakes until I thought I could get in behind him. He slows down. I figure, hell, if I am going to lose my license anyway, might as well make it good. So I decided to ram him. I basically pulled off a perfect P.I.T. maneouver, and sent him screeching, then rolling in the ditch.

I can't figure out just what exactly he thought he was doing, except almost getting you killed? I don't think this asshole should ever be allowed to operate any sort of vehicle ever again. Man was a menace.

Always remember, you have NO obligation to pull over and stop for anything other than a marked police car. Unmarked cars with flashers are allowed to pass and speed, but there is NO requirement that you should allow anybody in them to approach you. The part of the Deep South where I live was plagued for years by a "blue light rapist" who would pull female drivers over. If you are being followed or chased by an unmarked car with a flashing light you should immediately head to the nearest police station, or failing that, nearest well-lit populated place. I'm thinking a Wal-Mart would be perfect. There are too many freaks out there who know how to dye and wire a strobe light for anything else to be safe.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm wondering if the cop in the OP's story really was a cop.

I finally told my dad what had happened, and as I ducked to avoid the thrashing of my life, he simply starts to laugh, slaps me on the back, and sez, "Atta Boy!!"

I suspect your dad had some run-ins with the County Mountie as well!
