I have 2 stories.
Last night I hear a cell phone ringing. It was an electroinic ringing and not a song, but it would not stop ringing. I know some people will not answer their phones. Patrons were covering their ears, though. So I walked in the general area of the ringing and said:
Who ever's phone is ringing, please turn it down.
Since no one made a move I finally narrowed it down to a guy with headphones on on a computer.
me: Sir, can you turn down your phone?
man looks at me with "huh?" face and takes of his earphones.
me: Sir, can you turn down your phone?
man: oh
and he answers the phone.
20 min. latter, he comes up to me.
man: I was wondering why you came up to me. I wasn't expecting a call tonight and I had my headphones on and didn't hear the phone.
and he walks away.
Not that I expected an apology, but why explain stuff to me? I figured you were an idiot.
This morning I was picking up magazines when I hear someone trying to open a pop-top quietly, in increments. Sneaky bastard. We are not to say anything to anyone eating or drinking unless it's around our computers. He had one of our laptops in hand. I see him trying to sneakily eat his can of pears.
me: Sir, you are not suppose to eat or drink around our computers.
guy: *cbf* Alright, I'll put it away
I walk away, and I hear him say something in a loud mumble.
me: what was that?
guy (says something but his accent is too strong, but I think it was: if I wanted you to hear me I would tell you.
It was funny, how he was trying to be sneaky because he knows he is doing wrong, but acts like I'm picking on him.
