    Guest: yea Dave, my friends stayed at your resort and they said they preferred this one complex. Why do they prefer that area and not one of these other places?

    Me: I'm not sure, you may want to ask them

    Guest: I am asking you, arent you the expert?

    Me: well I dont know what your friends liked about where they stayed

    Guest: ok well I see all these properties but dont you have competitors?

    Me: yes sir

    Guest: now be honest, Dave.......am I better off renting through one of them?

    Me: no sir

    Guest: now dont BS me here, Dave. You live there, I dont.

    Me: sir, I work for this company. I am not going to recommend a competitor

    Guest: what if they can offer me a better deal?

    Me: well thats for you to find out

    Guest: dont you know?

    Me: I have no idea what they are offering

    Guest: well can you research it and call me back

    Me: no sir

    Guest: well how am I to know I am getting the best deal?

    Me: you'll have to shop around, I cant do it for you

    Guest: oh ok....thanks anyway CLICK

          That happened to me once at the computer store I worked at in College. A lady didn't like our price on something and then asked me to call around to our competitors to see if I could find her a better price. WTF?

            I'd be tempted to call back in an hour (after doing nothing) and saying. "Ma'am, I called 4 places and we definitely have the lowest rates."

                Totally do that. "I called the competitor and not only do they charge more but they have roaving gangs of organ harvesters on their property. Better stay with us"

                    It's the Reverse Used Car Salesman. Customers try to use it on me all the time. It's the buddy buddy you hate your job and want to help me out so tell me something I can use against your company.

                    Some customers want me to make promises that are fricking nuts or to say our company sucks and is ripping them off.
