  • We are wounded to the quick

Well sir you really showed us. Bravo sir Bravo. Swearing at the first rep that was trying to help you make sense of the sensation that was some good stuff taking advantage of our company's policy of do not hang up on customer's ever good thinking. High class performance truly top notch.

I was even more impressed when you cursed out one of our supervisors. How did you come up with that bit of brilliance it was inspired sir truly inspired. If only you could teach my other customers that all they have to do is swear at my supervisor to get your issue resolved. But wait your muse was not done no you couldn't leave your adoring fans without an encore performance.

You sir the genius of the phones that you are called us and got me a random rep and reamed me for a situation that I only even knew about because I did an account search on your phone number. I applaud you sir I applaud you.

My hat is off to you sir for you are truly a jackass beyond compare.

Posting this for anyone wanting more details. Basically a customer forgot to call us and let us know that he was moving out of his home so that we could stop his service. So you know this is gas service we are talking about so it's not like we left a phone running so anyone could use it or internet.

Gas for those of you who don't know is an actual product that burns whether your home or not and costs us money so we like to get paid. It is not considered our responsibility to call up every single customer everyday and ask if they are or are going to in the future move out of their home.

Also our ESP division isn't up and running yet still in the R&D stages. This guy was told by a rep that he was responsible for the usage he incurred unless the new party was willing to take it on or the landlord. He did not like the idea that he is responsible for his own actions.

After screaming at a coworker and my supervisor he called in one more time and yelled/mumbled at me so all that I could hear was blah blah blah ripoff of a compnay. After having him repeat this a couple of times as I truly couldn't understand the first bit and thought maybe he is seeking help he called me a moron and hung up hence the salute above.

Lemme guess. He still has to pay, right?

And thanks to his behavior any inclination you guys had to be lenient is long gone, correct?

      A true genius, indeed.

Oh indeed. I am good rep I will bend over backwards for a nice customer and do what I can to help them out of a jam. Today I exploited a rule, it was valid to use it but equally valid to overlook it, to get her service on tomorrow because she was nice to me and admitted it was her bad that she missed our tech.

Always great to get reamed after a SC talks to your CW. Especially when your CW did nothing wrong.

*twitches* Flashbacks to Mr Robertson....ugh! *hand edges ever closer to a flamethrower*

I love how they think we're psychic and know they've moved. The number of "But i moved ouuuuuuut" wails i've heard since starting in PowerCorp debt collection is frankly scary.

And the ones that think they don't owe us the money because they are living at one of their other houses always astound me.

What's worse than the normal but I moved out people is the ones who expected the new person who moved in to call us and take over service and then get pissed when we won't force the amount owed onto that new party.

I am sorry buddy but it is again your responsibility to tell us you stopped living there and want us to stop giving the home service believe me if the new party wants service they will call but if you trust them to take it over remember some of them think, "Why when the previous person is being so generous as to give me free service"

What's more likely is that they think the landlord is footing the bill and it's part of their rent.

That would be my assumption, anyway.

I live in a two-family house which I own. (well me and the mortgage company) I just had a tenant move in to my upstairs apartment. It had been vacant since end of August. I called the gas company myself at that time and told them not to shut off the gas or electric, just put it in my name for the two months. Yesterday I got the notice from them that it's going off my name and into my new tenants' names.

(If they'd actually stopped the service, there would be a turn-off fee and a turn-on fee; this way it's a simple transfer of the existing account, although I dunno if they assigned the new number to the account.)

This is the right way to do this. I suppose I could have just let it ride, but then they'd either come after me for the balance or try to get it out of the new tenants, so I figured I better call them myself...

Landlord between tenant agreements are cool until it's five years later the latest tenant leaves and it turns out they were renting from a new party who bought the house five years ago. Because the previous landlord forgot to cancel his contract it went back in his name.
