I asked you 5 times which one you wanted.......

A customer called on Monday requesting a replacement pressure gauge for her filter. As there are 2 kinds ( a side mounted type and a back mounted type) I had to clarify with her which one she has. I asked her a total of 5 times as she never seemed to understand what I was asking. Finally we determine she needs the back mounted type.

She calls me just now to say I sent the wrong type and she needs the side mounted one.

I manage to contain my frustration and explain to her that I asked her repeatedly which one she required and she assured me it was the back mounted type.

Her response? - “you must have misheard me”

Now I can understand miss-hearing someone once, but FIVE TIMES!!!!!!! I clearly remember asking you 5 times if it was a back mount or a side mount. You assured me it was a back mount. ARGHHH!!!!

So now I have to send her the correct one and arrange for the incorrect one to come back.

And this is just the beginning of what will no doubt be a hellish summer season for us.

totally know how you feel. i get people like that a lot. they like to blame other people for their mistakes...all the more fun to rant about on the forum

And my guess is it's probably an inexpensive gauge and the freight alone costs more. At least she new what a gauge was. It's more fun if they don't know the difference between pressure and temperature.

Well, to be fair, if the volume is constant, one can extrapolate pressure from temperature and vice versa.
