"Chicken!"

This is somewhat of a pet peeve of mine....now at Subway, one can clearly see on the menu that there is no sandwich that is just "Chicken"....Chicken can refer to several items on the menu including:

-Chicken Breast
-Chicken Teriyaki
-Chicken Bacon Ranch
-Chicken Strips
-Chicken Cordon Bleu
-Chicken Marinara Melt


Yes I have assumed that when they just ordered a chicken sandwich I put a chicken breast, but nine times out of ten, this happened....

"I ORDERED A CHICKEN TERIYAKI/BACON RANCH/BUFFALO/PARM!!"




Then when we're at the register it gets worse..

Me: What kind of sandwich did you have today?
Customer: Chicken.
Me: Whta kind of chicken.
Customer: ...I don't know!
Me: Chicken Breast, Chicken Teriyaki....
Customer: Uh....it was one piece....
Me: Chicken breast then.


Seriously guys, it REALLY helps if you just say what KIND of chicken you want - there is not just one "Chicken", like how at a bar, there is not just one type of "Beer".

Kind of lucky the deli counter in the caf doesn't have that kind of variety, but I sure get variants of that unspecific statement SCs tend to make. It usually involves our wheat bread, since we've got wheat bread, wheat wraps, and wheat kasier rolls. They ask for the sandiwhc o doom on wheat, and I guess the bread, and turns out they want a wrap.

Why they never just come out with it I'll never know.

I don't know. Maybe they assume that because they say something like "Wheat" They'll get the cheapest kind there is. I remember someone saying that if you say, "I'll have a beer" in a Belgian bar, you'll get the cheapest brand.

And what's funny is the "new" sandwiches aren't really new. It's just the same stuff we already have in a different combination.

-Roasted Chicken.
-Chicken Strips.
-Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki.
-Chicken and Bacon Ranch.
and the all new limited-time-only Chicken Tikka sub. (which I'm giving a HUGE pass on)
