  • Grrrrr!!!

We have these little snowman tealite holders on sale right now.

Today, I was given 3 of them on my damage table because customers keep trying to take the top hats off them.

OK...first of all...I can see one of them being broken because somebody tried to pull off the hat. They do look like they might come apart. Even I thought the top part pulled off when they first came in.
After that, though, when they saw the first one sitting there broken, why would people continue to try to pull the damn things apart?

Never mind...I probably already know the answer.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

Perhaps their thought process goes like this:

"Oooooh. Cute snowman with hat. What under hat? Wait. Hat no come off? But me never wrong! If me believe hat come off, then hat must come off.

"Me know. Pull hat harder. Me never wrong!

    "PULL. HAT. HARDER!

"Uh. Oh. Hat broke off. Stupid hat. Put back like nothing happened. Not my fault. Me never wrong."

The best karma is letting a jerk bash himself senseless on the wall of your polite indifference.

The stupid is strong with this one.

Sadly, a sign stating "HATS DO NOT COME OFF" would only prompt people to think that the sign must be wrong because hats do indeed come off. "I mean what kind of stupid society is this where hats are glued to your head? THINK, stupid, THINK!"
SC: "Are you new or something?"
Me: "Yes. Your planet is very backwards I hope you realize."

What is really sad is that I am sure these people's parents like mine taught them the principle of you break it you buy it. I bought a book once, as an adult, because I accidentally spilled soda on it.
