Had a woman come up to me today and ask me if she bought some furniture item, and it went on sale later this week for a lower price, would we give her an adjustment on the price? It turns out the item she wanted is on the 6-hour sale Friday.
It was kinda hard to answer her with a straight face. No, she won't get her price adjustment. It wouldn't be fair to the people trampling each other on Friday.
Also, our policy is we don't give price adjustments on our own sales, but sometimes we do anyway, thanks to customer service people who either don't know any better or want to get rid of a PITA.
