    Incorrect. On several points.

The story is that Bing's "Cash back program" was resulting in higher prices. Not Bing itself. Further, TFA has an update with a contact from Microsoft saying that it's due to updated prices not being reflected in the browser for the cashback program, and they're working to clear up any discrepancy like that as it's pointed out to them.
Never did quite trust that Chandler guy....

Well, most of us who know how the Internet operates are socially incompetent like that...
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how that was anything but insulting to geeks. We're usually proud enough of our knowledge to admit to actually owning it. Or at least can't see a reason to deny it.

Ah, but I think you'd be smart enough to never ADMIT to that in public
I don't know. All my friends who would answer 'yes' would then proceed to explain it, in great detail, until the person asking either got their question answered or was sorry they asked.
It's little things that make the difference between 'enjoyable', 'tolerable', and 'gimme a spoon, I'm digging an escape tunnel'.

          Somewhat along these lines...

I had a co-irker think, that because I'm a moderator over here, I had complete control over to the code for CS, and could block him. In reality, G had changed the board format, meaning you had to join and log-in to read anything.

Same idiot felt that because I had my own websites, therefore I could control other sites...including kicking him off of ESPN or the other sports-related sites he'd go on simply to cause trouble. Uh, no asshole. I had nothing to do with that--the admins probably got tired of your trolling, and banned your ass.

Trust me, if I had total control over the net, do you *really* think I'd let your ass on it?

            Put me in that column.

I'm not as bad as I used to be, but I will still regale people with a plethora of mostly-useless information.

Yeah. Why stop at a few random forum bans?

Sorry, I didn't try to insult anyone.

Gak! This proves the social incompetence aspect of us geeks! No, your post was FINE! I was referring to the post by Argabarga you'd been quoting! I'm sorry

I can see a customer saying something along the lines of,

"OMG I saw it on EBAY for a dollar! Pricematch pricematch pricematch!!!!111!1eleventy-one!"

I remember seeing a Costco ad for those stand-up mixers. Maybe that's what she was talking about? I bet Costco could give a ridiculously good price. Though you probably have to buy four of them

                    EDIT: That is, if you even have a Costco in your area ^_^;;
And then you have to remember to add in the membership fee...

I don't do Costco, but I've found that at Sam's, you have to shop it, just like any other store. Sometimes it's cheaper, sometimes it's not. They just tend to have certain things I can't find elsewhere.
Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.

I fell in love with Costco at a young age because back then it was just a hot dog stand that sold polish dogs. No big eatery. And they would sell comic books in bulk. For a 13 year old boy that was heaven.
